For couples or families
Treat yourself to a break among the vineyards in the heart of Dolenjska, where our new and modernly equipped Vinyard castle`s granary (maximum capacity for 6 persons) and our Old Mill Franja (maximum capacity for 4 persons) invites you. We offer you the luxury of living and socializing in the embrace of nature and hills. In the surrounding area, there are many opportunities for cycling, hiking and relaxing in nature.
Comfort and satisfaction of our guests is our main goal
Both houses are built with a lot of love and equipped with natural wood furniture. The granary offers a vacation for a maximum of 6 people, while the Old Mil Franja offers accommodation for 4 people. Both are fully equipped for staying and activities inside or outdoors. They are heated with underfloor heating and air conditioning and equipped with Wi-Fi signal and TV programs. Towels, bed linens, kitchen napkins, hand soap, a sponge and dish washing powder, as well as other cleaning products are included in the price of the rent.
Active vacation in nature
In the surrounding area, there are many opportunities for cycling and hiking. From Vineyard Castle`s Grannary you can go to the neighboring hill Debenec, which is a popular tourist spot for hikers and where the Plaz hut is open from Thursday to Sunday, where you can refresh yourself before the hike back. From the Old Mill Franja you can go on a hike along the slightly longer Steklasa`s hiking trail along the slopes of Šentrupert, or you can climb up to Heaven (Nebesa), which is the highest peak in the Šentrupert area (602m) and from where you can enjoy a heavenly view of the Valley of Mirna. From there, if the weather is bright, you can also see the peaks of southern Slovenia: Gorjanci with Trdinov vrh, Gače, Vrhtrebnje and even Snežnik. If you're lucky, you'll be able to watch paragliders and hang gliders fly into the valley as they have their own airstrip there. You can also just take a walk in the nearby forest and pick mushrooms or play various sports games in the yard, which are available as part of the rental in both houses (badminton, boules balls or plates, football,...).
For families
Children are very welcome in Vinyard castle`s granary and in the Old Mill Franja. In both houses it`s possible to rent an additional small baby cot. Part of the regular offer in the grannary is an outdoor wooden swing for 2 to 3 people and a hanging egg chair, which will be enjoyed by young as well as slightly older guests. Next to the granary, there is a large enough green area on which both children and adults can play badminton or kick a ball. In the mill, there are two hanging outdoor chairs from which there is a wonderful view of the natural forest gorge and the gurgling stream, which children will happily jump over and explore. In both houses guests can also find various board games (race to base, chess, 4 in a row, various cards, puzzles,...) and things for children's fun and creativity (crayons, felt-tip pens, colouring books, drawing sheets , various children's magazines,...). Two mini-libraries with magazines and novels of various genres and authors in Slovenian and English are also available for our guests.
A romantic getaway for two
Part of the additional offer in Vineyard Castle`s Grannary is also a jacuzzi, which can be placed intimately indoors or outdoors (in summer) at the guests' request. In the near future, a sauna will also be available to our guests as an additional offer at both locations. The regular offer on both locations includes an outdoor fireplace for picnics (firewood and charcoal are included) and one bottle of our domestic wine. Wine tasting in the nearby Castle`s wine cellar is included in renting Vineyard Castle`s Grannary for more than two nights.
