ABOUT
We invite you to our Villa Swallow, located in Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia, which is one of the most charming European capitals. We offer for rent a spacious, 80 m2, 3-room apartment outside Bežigrad, which is one of the most peaceful and safe locations in Ljubljana. The apartment, located on the 2nd floor of a completely renovated private house, is modern and richly equipped with everything guests need to feel as comfortable and at home as possible. It is equipped with brand new furniture, washing machine and dishwasher, oven, large fridge with freezer, Dolce Gusto coffee machine and coffee and cocoa capsules. The kitchen is fully equipped with all basic appliances and offers guests a large selection of dishes. All equipment is new. Bed linen, towels, shampoo/shower gel, hand soap, detergents for cleaning and washing clothes and dishes, kitchen towels and dishwashing sponge are included in the price.
The apartment has underfloor heating with a heat pump and air conditioning. It has the possibility of using a large garden with a wooden pavilion for picnics and 2 parking lots, one of which is a covered parking lot. Parking is included in the price. The plot is fenced and the parking lot is guarded by cameras, so cars are completely safe. The house is equipped with optics that enable free Wi-Fi and TV channels. There is also a shed where guests can store their bikes if they have them with them. Each guest is welcomed with a bottle of quality local wine.
Villa Swallow is 1 minute away from the highway ring and the Ljubljana-Bežigrad junction. The house is in a pleasant, quiet area of Bežigrad, very close to the city center and the main attractions, which can be reached quickly by public transport. To the stop of city bus number 14 is cca. 200 mthe same to the Mercator store and to the bus stop on Dunajska cesta (city buses no. 6, 8 and others) is approximately 350 m. You can reach the center of Ljubljana by city bus in 10-15 minutes.
The main sights of Ljubljana that we recommend to our guests to see or visit are the Ljubljana Castle (which you can go to on foot, by car or by cable car), the old town center which is full of cafes, bars and restaurants as well as small shops, Prešernov trg with the Tromostovje bridges, the Ljubljana central Market next to the Dragon Bridge, the Park Tivoli, Ljubljana Cathedral.
You should definitely see the Skyscraper that hosts a Cafe with the best view of the city. You will forever remember the beautiful wooden staircase that winds its way down through the building, which can be spotted from the cafe and is a gorgeous centrepiece.
Enthusiasts of museums and galleries should also visit one of Ljubljana’s attractions related to history or fine arts, such as the City Museum, the Modern Gallery, the National Gallery, the Museum of Natural History and the Cukrarna
For families with children, we recommend a visit to the Ljubljana zoo, Water City Atlantis, Puppet Theatre, Slovenian Youth Theater, Woop trampoline park, cinema center Cineplexx and the Museum of Experiments which is located on Congress Square. For fans of theater a visit to a show at SNG Drama, SiTi Theater, or the City Theater is a must. For fans of opera and ballet, we recommend a visit to Slovene National Theatre Opera and Ballet Theatre, where you will enjoy unforgettable and extremely high-quality performances by international opera and ballet performers. We also recommend visiting Cankarjev dom which hosts Slovene and international musical, dance, theatre, cinema and art shows through the whole year.
For the young and the young at heart, who like fun and rock music, a wide repertoire of concerts is available in Cvetličarna, Kinu Šiška and Orto bar. Those who are interested in alternative art can only find it in the Autonomous Cultural Center of Metelkovo, which was created in the area where the buildings of the old Yugoslav barracks used to stand and is now full of graffiti, living paintings and sculptures. At night, this part of Ljubljana transforms into a lively concert and club scene. Ljubljana is also a very good starting point for one-day trips throughout Slovenia, as you can reach all destinations by car in a few hours. Therefore, you are cordially invited to one of the most interesting cities in our little Slovenia.
